President’s Corner: August 2025 SITREP

Pushing Forward with Purpose
August is here, and with it comes a renewed drive to move Valor Haven Estates closer to reality. Our leadership team has been working closely with state and county leaders to secure pathways for land use, funding partnerships, and a long-term sustainable foundation. This isn’t just a concept on paper anymore, it is an engineered, operational model designed to transform how we approach veteran homelessness, mental health support, and economic participation through trauma-informed community building.

Economic and Agricultural Readiness
One of our proudest achievements is advancing the hydroponics program, which will serve as the economic engine for Valor Haven Estates. In August, we completed the first planning phase for the 525-acre hydroponic production site. This program is designed to deliver year-round output, ensuring food security for our community while creating jobs, training opportunities, and a reliable source of revenue to make Valor Haven Estates self-sustaining.

Infrastructure for Resilience
With California once again facing wildfire season, our vision for a veteran-led resilience hub has never been more important. Valor Haven Estates will combine secure housing, a rapid-response veteran workforce, and an uninterrupted food supply chain to serve Sonoma County as a stabilizing, first-line support center during emergencies.

Community Engagement and Trust
This month, we’re focused on staying in close contact with everyone who cares about this mission, civic leaders, funders, community members, and the veterans who will someday call this place home. Keeping these conversations open and honest is critical to earning trust and building a truly transparent project.

Invitation to Align
As we look ahead to the rest of 2025, I invite every partner, supporter, and friend of this mission to recommit and stand with us. We have the leadership, the plan, and the determination to make this vision real. Together, we can build Valor Haven Estates into a place of healing, opportunity, and hope.

In service and solidarity,

Sean Correa
President
